Our Heroes:
Balasar:

Balasar is one of the fabled Sorcerer Monks of the Morgrimm Monastery, located in the high mountains of Arkhosia. Born and raised in the Monastery, he has left with his “brother”, Khryv to explore the world as part of their training. Shortly after leaving, they encountered Reed and joined him in his seemingly-random wanderings from town to town, taking up the mantle of adventurers as they went. Balasar is the son of the Morgrimm Urgrosh the Flamestalker and the Morgrimme Ashakha the Thunderstep. As a journeyman, he has not yet received a deed name.
Khryv:

Khryv is a Tiefling who was found by the ancient dragon Vorelvargachihkhaurach (VOR-el-VAHR-gahc-ICK-a-rahc), Patron of the Morgrimm Monastery at about 2 years of age. Believing the tiny mewling thing to be a lost Dragonborn, Vargach left the child in the care of the monks. Already possessed of a lovely voice, he was admitted to their associated Bardic College where he quickly mastered an astonishing variety of instruments, though the bamboo flute was always dearest to him. He was often tormented by some of the older Dragonborn who believed him to be innately evil and was nearly killed by a group who decided to test his resistance to flame. Balasar rescued him and he was adopted by Balasar’s parents shortly afterward. Despite his hard childhood, he is an incredibly confident man with a well-known love of the ladies which has landed him in trouble more than once. His parentage is unknown.
Reed RisingTide:

Reed is the son of Hamon CricketSong, Thane of the wandering riverfolk of the Sawgrass Plain. As far as everyone knows, he was exiled from his homeland and wanders as an adventurer until he is allowed to return. It is believed that he was rejected by the Primal Spirits with Whom his people are connected, though it may be that he simply had not yet met the correct spirit. He travels with fellow-adventurers Khryv and Balasar, however none but they know how they met or how they became friends.
Reed recently encountered his first Primal Spirit and was given a quest to save the Material Realm during a hallucinatory trip into the Fade.
Azura Aktial deVores:

Very little is known about this exuberant young woman who recently arrived in Talusport. When she was young, she stumbled upon the journals of a long-dead deva who had been a cleric of Amoth. She struggled for many years to read it and, in the process, taught herself Supernal. After forty years of study, she took up the raiment of the deceased cleric and left her home to follow Amoth, but no one knows where her home may have been or why she couldn’t remain there. She was recently given a Ring of Teleportation by the Jester as a token of his esteem for her.
The Jester:

An enigmatic being for whom the laws of reality are merely suggestions. Despite his garish costume, he seems to go more or less unnoticed by any save Azura, whom he loves. His plans, motivations and origins are a complete mystery, though it’s clear he’s intent on winning Azura’s heart.
It is known that he loves music and is often found whistling happily to himself. While he’s usually a happy-go-lucky and innocent creature, he is easily driven to tears.
